Platinum Solitaire Engagement Ring
From the outset, the creation of this platinum solitaire engagement ring felt natural and considered. A selection of designs and diamond shapes were explored, including round, cushion and oval cuts, allowing space to understand what truly resonated. While our client remained open initially, there was a clear pull towards round brilliant cut diamonds – drawn to their balance, light and timelessness.
Seeing the diamonds in person brought clarity. One stone stood out for its proportions and the way it handled light – bright, lively, and beautifully balanced. Even when compared against further options, it remained the strongest choice, reaffirming what he had already recognised.
The design followed in the same spirit. Inspired by a previous bespoke piece of W&W Jewellery, a classic solitaire setting was chosen, refined with gently graduating pavé-set diamonds along the shoulders. Crafted in platinum, the setting remains deliberately understated, allowing the centre stone to take focus, while the fine detailing adds subtle interest.
Working towards a specific proposal date brought a sense of intention to the process, but everything moved forward with ease. With clarity in both the diamond and the design, the piece came together seamlessly.
The result is the ultimate platinum solitaire engagement ring. Perfectly executed with a gorgeous round brilliant solitaire diamond at its heart.
